SP inspects check posts to prevent animal trafficking

Mulugu District Superintendent of Police Sudhir Ramnath Kakan personally inspected on Saturday the police check posts established at Mallampalli and Pasra. Accompanied by senior officers, the SP reviewed the functioning of the check posts, which were set up to curb illegal cattle transportation. Speaking on the occasion, SP Sudhir Ramnath Kakan directed officials to ensure that no illegal transportation of cattle takes place from Mulugu district under any circumstances.

He instructed strict action against anyone found violating rules and engaging in illegal cattle smuggling. The SP emphasized that personnel deployed at the check posts must perform their duties in shifts and warned that no laxity or negligence would be tolerated. He asked officers to thoroughly verify the documents of all individuals transporting cattle and to promptly record details of every inspected vehicle in the registers. He also directed the concerned police station officers to provide adequate facilities and amenities for the staff working at the check posts.

The inspection was attended by DSP Ravinder, SB Inspector Shankar, Pasra CI Dayakar, Mulugu CI Suresh, Mulugu Police Station SHO Upendar and Pasra Police Station SHO Tajuddin.
