Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals conducts cyclothon to mark Heart Day

Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals, Masjidbanda, marked World Heart Day with a 10-km cyclothon in Kondapur, bringing together nearly 200 cyclists, neighborhood residents, cycling enthusiasts, doctors and hospital staff. Organized in partnership with Bike-O-Holics, the ride was flagged off at 6:30 AM by G. Hanmantha Rao, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police. The event also marked the launch of the hospital’s “Heart Attack Free Society for the Neighborhood” initiative.

As part of the program, 1,000 eligible residents aged 40 and above were offered free CT Coronary Artery Calcium (CTCAC) Score Screening and cardiology consultation, subject to eligibility. Prof. Dr. V. S. Ramchandra, Chief Cardiologist and Chairman, said that bringing preventive screening and consultation closer to the community could encourage timely evaluation.

Managing Director Dr. Tushara Aluri said heart health should receive attention before problems appeared, describing the initiative as a step towards greater awareness, prevention and informed health decisions. Medical Director Dr. Subbarao highlighted the importance of identifying cardiac risks early, while COO Giri Babu said the strong community response demonstrated how collective participation could make health awareness more meaningful.
