Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited has launched dedicated hospital Help Desks at key healthcare facilities in Hyderabad to provide patients with immediate assistance during hospitalization. The new support centres are currently operational at Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, and KIMS Hospitals, Kompally, while a similar facility at KIMS Hospitals, Kondapur, will be introduced shortly. The initiative aims to simplify the insurance process by offering guidance on claims, policy benefits, exclusions, documentation, reimbursement procedures and cashless hospitalization requirements within the hospital premises

The Help Desks will function as single-point assistance centres from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., with dedicated representatives available to address customer queries. The company expects the initiative to benefit more than 550 customers and patients every month across the three locations.

Speaking at the launch, Himanshu Walia, Whole-time Director and CMO, Star Health Insurance, said the initiative brings claims and policy support closer to customers when they need it most. He added that the desks would assist patients with documentation, cashless hospitalization and understanding policy benefits.

KIMS Hospitals CEO Dr. Abhinay Bollineni said the partnership would strengthen patient support beyond clinical care by improving transparency, efficiency and convenience throughout the healthcare journey.  The KIMS Kompally Help Desk was inaugurated in the presence of senior officials from Star Health Insurance and KIMS Hospitals, including Himanshu Walia, Srinivas K.B.B., Business Head – AP & Telangana, and Dr. Abhinay Bollineni.
