The Guntur District Police registered 38 cases against 218 accused and arrested 164 persons and seized about 65 kg of solid cannabis and 150 grams of liquid ganja, 28 grams of MDMA, 05 vehicles in the last three months (October 2025 to December 2025) alone. In order to create awareness among the students in colleges and schools in Guntur district, meetings and rallies are being organized to explain the need to stay away from drugs. 

Youngsters are putting up posters, setting up flexis and distributing pamphlets to create wider awareness among the public about the physical, mental, and social harms caused by cannabis and other drugs. Through various forms of announcements, the police are spreading awareness about the harms caused by drug abuse all across the district. Awareness about the dangers of substance abuse is being carried out at major junctions, junctions, crowded places, business complexes, cinema halls and other public places through audio and video.
