Metro India News | Hyderabad
The Telangana government is set to upgrade and construct modern sub-registrar offices to provide efficient, transparent, and people-friendly services, announced Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.
During a meeting with district collectors from Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Sangareddy districts and senior Revenue officials including Principal Secretary (Revenue) Navin Mittal , the Minister emphasized constructing state-of-the-art sub-registrar offices under the first phase in Sangareddy, Patancheru, Medchal, Uppal, Quthbullapur, Kandukur, Gandipet, and Gachibowli. He stated that Gachibowli’s integrated sub-registrar office would serve as a model for the state. Also the meeting decided to construct three sub-registrar offices for Banjara Hills, SR Nagar, and Golconda in Hyderabad district in one location in Shaikpet area.
"Permanent sub-registrar offices with corporate-level facilities will eliminate waiting times and improve service delivery," Ponguleti said. Of Telangana's 144 sub-registrar offices, only 37 currently operate in government-owned buildings. To address this, offices spanning three acres with amenities such as waiting halls, drinking water, and ample parking will be built in phases.
The Minister also stressed leveraging technology to combat corruption and enhance monitoring, directing officials to develop an immediate action plan. "This initiative will not only streamline operations but also ensure equitable workload distribution and faster processing," he added.
