Tata Communications Limited has announced the appointment of N. Ganapathy Subramaniam, non-executive, non-independent director as the chairman of the board of directors of the company with effect from March 14, 2025.

The appointment is based on the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration Committee. Subramaniam has been a part of Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) and the Indian IT Industry for over 40 years. He stepped down from TCS in May 2024 as the COO and executive director of TCS. He has played a strategic role in several landmark initiatives that TCS undertook across banking, telecom and public services globally.

He has in-depth knowledge on technology, operations, product development, business transformation and change management as organizations manage their technology and business.  Currently, he is part of many  companies and institutions, including, chairman and non-executive director of the board at Tata Elxsi, chairman and non-executive director at Tejas Networks, etc.
