The official TelanganaRising delegation, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, held a highly fruitful meeting with an academic team from the University of Cambridge to explore opportunities for collaboration in education, research and entrepreneurship. Revanth Reddy, accompanied by IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and senior officials, including K. Ramakrishna Rao and Jayesh Ranjan, highlighted the immense opportunities available for leading global institutions to establish a presence in Hyderabad and contribute to the creation of a world-class global knowledge hub.
Prof. Jaideep Prabhu, Government of India-sponsored Chair of Marketing at Cambridge Judge Business School, and Prof. Venkata Serish Gandikota of Cambridge Judge Business School and Co-Chair of Frugal AI, expressed keen interest in partnering with the Telangana government. The two sides agreed to develop a framework for collaboration covering areas such as offering educational programmes in Hyderabad, joint research and incubation of entrepreneurship and innovation.
State seeks strategic partnership with Imperial College London
K. Ramakrishna Rao, Telangana government advisor and ex-officio Special Chief Secretary, visited Imperial College London on Saturday and held discussions with senior officials on potential areas of collaboration between the institution and Tevlangana.
During his meeting with Amanda Wolthuizen, Vice President for Strategic Engagement and Chief of Staff to the President, and Rosanna Gillespie, Senior International Relations Manager (South Asia and Australasia), Ramakrishna Rao highlighted Telangana’s strengths and outlined several opportunities for collaboration.
Wolthuizen, who also serves as Chief of Staff to the President of Imperial College, expressed interest in exploring a range of initiatives, including the possibility of offering short-term and executive education programmes in Hyderabad, as well as collaborative research and academic exchange programmes.
Ramakrishna Rao invited the Imperial College representatives to Hyderabad to participate in the Invest Telangana Global Summit, scheduled to be held on December 7, 8 and 9 later this year.
