The Telangana Government is keen on developing Husnabad and has allotted funds. The Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is to visit Husnabad Assembly constituency on December 3 and will be laying foundation stone for Satavahana University Engineering College along with several other development initiatives in Husnabad.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, along with  Siddipet Collector Haimavathy, supervised the arrangements for the Chief Minister’s meeting on Sunday and directed the officials to take adequate measures for providing facilities, including drinking water, parking spaces, security etc. for the visitors.

The Minister said the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone of Satavahana University Engineering College and ATC (Advanced Technology Center) in Husnabad. Similarly, the foundation stone for the 4-lane road from Rajiv Road to Husnabad, the road from Akkannapet to Husnabad, the Young India Integrated Residential School to be built in Koheda, and the link roads to tribal villages will be laid. He said proposals for a swimming pool, veterinary hospital, fish market, and vegetable market have already been made and they will be laid as soon as they get sanction.

Ponnam Prabhakar said Rs. 20 crore allocated for the development of Husnabad Municipality will be used for development works, Rs 8 crore for the RTA office with a modern driving track in Husnabad, Rs 6 crore for the establishment of Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar, and Rs 10 crore for the establishment of an urban park with a walking track and other infrastructure in the forest in Ummapur.

In addition to this, buses will be provided to women's groups under Indira Mahila Shakti and Husnabad Express bus will be started from Hyderabad. Bicycles will be distributed to 70 engineering students, Ponnam Prabhakar said. He said land acquisition for the industrial corridor in Husnabad has been completed and special steps are being taken to create employment and achieve economic growth through the project. Funds are being sanctioned for the construction of Gauravelli canals and that Husnabad will be made fertile after completing the project, the Minister said.
