The Batman Part II halted temporarily

Production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily halted after director Matt Reeves took a break to focus on a family matter. A representative of Warner Bros and DC Studios shared the news in a statement. “Production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter. Matt has the full support of DC Studios and we look forward to continuing the journey soon,” read the statement.

Robert Pattinson returns as the Caped Crusader in the superhero sequel, which has faced several delays since it was first announced. The film was originally scheduled to release on October 2, 2026, before being pushed to October 1, 2027. In July, Warner Bros moved the release date again to February 2028.  Reeves’ first film, The Batman, was released in March 2022 and starred Pattinson as a young Bruce Wayne alongside Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright and Andy Serkis. The sequel also stars Scarlett Johansson, Farrell, Sebastian Stan, Serkis and Wright.
