Makers of Kannappa unveil Prabhas’ first look as Rudra in this epic saga, starring Vishnu Manchu and Mohanlal

The makers of Kannappa have dropped a highly anticipated poster featuring Rebel Star Prabhas, offering fans a tantalising glimpse into one of Indian cinema’s most awaited projects. While details about the character Prabhas portrays remain shrouded in mystery, his name is now revealed—Rudra.

The poster showcases Prabhas as a hermit, his matted hair flowing wildly, a forehead smeared with sacred chandan, and a crescent moon staff in hand, suggesting divine power and celestial energy. His intense, rugged look commands reverence, evoking awe and mystique.Kannappa delves deep into history, chronicling the extraordinary journey of Kannappa Nayanar, a revered Shaivite saint known for his unwavering devotion to Lord Shiva. 

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by M. Mohan Babu, the film promises to be a cinematic marvel, blending traditional storytelling with cutting-edge technology to create a breathtaking visual spectacle. The film features a stellar cast, with Vishnu Manchu in and as Kannappa, alongside  Preity Mukhundhan, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prabhas. Kannappa is slated for release worldwide on April 25, 2025.
