Sheena Chohan and Kangana Ranaut discussed their shared theater backgrounds and mentor Arvind Gaur at the Emergency screening

Acclaimed actress and human rights advocate Sheena Chohan recently had an engaging interaction with celebrated Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut, where they reflected on their shared theater roots under the mentorship of Arvind Gaur from Asmita Theatre. The conversation also touched upon Kangana’s film Emergency and its significance.

During their discussion, Sheena, who has worked in multiple languages down South and across many independent films, is soon to be seen in her Hindi debut Sant Tukaram and recently unveiled the teaser for her Telugu action-thriller. 

She shared how theater shaped her artistic journey. “Working under Arvind Gaur’s mentorship at Asmita Theatre was transformative,” said Sheena. “The rigorous training helped me cultivate empathy, depth, and authenticity as an artist.”

Kangana, renowned for her fearless and versatile performances, echoed similar sentiments about the invaluable role theater has played in her craft. “Today I ave the great fortune of directing my acting guru Arvind Gaur ji who mentored me at the age of 16, I requested sir for a cameo in my directorial Emergency and here he is with me,” she mentioned in an Instagram story.
