The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South West Zone team, Hyderabad and Humayun Nagar Police on Monday arrested three persons who were involved in illegally procuring and selling the Steroid Injection, tablets and capsules to needy customers without any valid prescription.
Accused persons were identified as Mohammed Nazeer (47), resident of Yakutpura, R Sanjeev (28), resident of Gowlipura and Imran Khan (40), resident of Hakeempet. Police have seized Steroid Injection, tablets and capsules worth Rs 1,80,000 from the accused persons.
Mohammed Nazeer and Sanjeev run supplements stores in Hyderabad whereas Imran khan is unemployed. Imran khan, initially a gym trainer, due to financial difficulties, hatched a plan to sell the steroid injection, tablets and capsules among youth seeking rapid muscle growth. He sold these steroids to clients at inflated rates without a valid license or doctor's prescription, earning money illegally.
Acting on the tip, the police teams apprehended Imran Khan while he was carrying steroid vials in Mehdipatnam. Further, Imran Khan disclosed and led to Sanjeev's supplement store, where some steroid capsules, vials, and tablets were seized. Further, Sanjeev then led the authorities to Mohd Nazeer, the main supplier, who was also apprehended and found with a large quantity of steroid capsules, vials, and tablets from his possession.
Steroid injection, tablets and capsules are in high demand in the market, particularly among youth seeking to rapidly increase muscle growth and treat low blood pressure. However, the desire for instant results has led many young people to become addicted to these steroids, which can cause numerous health problems and diseases.
