TPCC Vice President offers ‘Bonam’ at Balkampet Yellamma temple

The Ashada Bonalu celebrations at the Balkampet Sri Yellamma Pochamma Temple were held with great devotion. TPCC Vice President and Congress Party In-charge for the Sanath Nagar Assembly Constituency, Dr. Kota Neelima, participated in the festivities, offering the traditional Bonam to the presiding deity and performing special prayers. She offered prayers for the health, happiness and prosperity of the people of Telangana, seeking abundant rainfall and the overall well-being of the state.

Dr. Kota Neelima said that the Telangana Government had allocated Rs 20 crore for the conduct of the festivities and that comprehensive arrangements were made to ensure the convenience of devotees. She stated that in addition to the celebrations at the Balkampet Sri Yellamma Pochamma Temple, the Bonalu festivities were conducted on a grand scale at the Secunderabad Ujjayini Mahankali Temple and several other temples across Hyderabad. Dr. Neelima emphasized that Bonalu is a vibrant symbol of Telangana's rich cultural heritage and traditions, and said the State Government continues to celebrate it as the official State Festival.
