02-01-2026 12:00:00 AM

Triveni Season 3, the annual music festival will be held on January 4, 2026 at 7:00 PM at Ravindra Bharati, Hyderabad. It will be organized by Surmandal, the city based 57 years old Cultural organisation.  Surmandal has played a pivotal role in turning Hyderabad into a classical music capital. This Hyderabad-based cultural organization was founded in 1969 by  Mohan Hemmadi with the blessings of the Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.

Triveni Season 3 will be a convergence of Music, Art and Compassion. This marks the third edition of the Triveni Festival and coincides with the 57th anniversary of Surmandal. It blends Classical Music and Live Art for a Cause. The event pays homage to the stalwarts of Indian classical music — Ravi Shankar, Bhimsen Joshi, and M. S. Subbulakshmi — while also honoring the lifelong dedication of Anuradha Hemmadi and Mohan Hemmadi to the preservation and promotion of Indian culture.

Triveni Season 3 will feature Kaushiki Chakraborty, one of the foremost exponents of the Patiala gharana. Her illustrious career has taken Hindustani classical music to prestigious global stages such as Carnegie Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall. She will be accompanied by eminent accompanists Shri Yashwanth Vaishnav on tabla, Shri Murad Ali on sarangi, and Shri Tanmay Deochake on harmonium.

Renowned Hyderabad-based painter Sachin Jaltare will create a live artwork during the concert, drawing inspiration from the music being performed on stage. The artwork will be used to support Sparsh Hospice, a centre for terminally ill cancer patients that provides compassionate end-of-life care free of cost, supported by the Rotary Club of Banjara Hills.
