TRP President Teenmar Mallanna urged people to read Vijayakranti Telugu Daily, stating that the newspaper stands out for its unbiased and consistent representation of marginalised communities, after it secured five-star ratings across all key parameters in an AI-based evaluation conducted through ChatGPT. On Sunday, Teenmar Mallanna picked several prominent Telugu newspapers and posed a series of focused questions to ChatGPT to examine how Telugu media reports on caste-related issues.

The assessment centred on the space given to marginalised communities, including BC, SC and ST sections, the language used for or against them, and whether newspapers tend to align with dominant caste narratives. ChatGPT delivered a structured, topic-wise analysis of each newspaper, examining editorial thought processes, framing of stories and choice of words. The AI also evaluated whether newspapers prioritise public-interest journalism or restrict coverage to selective social groups or personal branding.

Among all newspapers reviewed, Vijayakranti emerged as the top-ranked daily, securing five-star ratings in all three major categories.

The Telugu daily received five stars for its social justice orientation, five stars for the space and representation provided to marginalised communities, and five stars for its critical and questioning approach towards governance and public administration.

The evaluation noted that Vijayakranti consistently highlights issues related to marginalised communities, farmers, student struggles and people’s movements, while maintaining inclusive, respectful and unbiased language. It was observed that the newspaper avoids elitist or caste-favouring narratives and does not side with any single dominant social group. Describing Vijayakranti as a people-centric and movement-driven newspaper, ChatGPT’s assessment concluded that its unbiased editorial approach and sustained focus on social justice clearly distinguish it in the contemporary Telugu media landscape.
