Telangana Recognized Typewriting, Shorthand and Computer Association (TRTSCA) on Sunday demanded the State government to take steps to fill up the vacant posts of stenographers and typists immediately. It also demanded the government to fill up the posts through the upcoming groups notifications . Addressing a press meet at Hyderguda based NSS, the President of the Association, Satish said that the state government should provide the employment opportunities to the unemployed candidates in the same manner as the Staff Selection Commission and courts. He said that their field, which encompasses the dual skills that once dominated the world, be protected.
“For the past ten years, previous governments have released only four to five typist and stenographer posts by showing a cold shoulder to the unemployed in the name of technology. On one hand, the Staff Selection Commission and on the other hand, the courts are releasing thousands of typist and stenographer posts and providing relief to the unemployed candidates. In our state, these posts have been shifted and renamed, and allocated to other departments. Due to such actions, skilled candidates are suffering greatly,” he claimed .
Noting that Starting a Skill University by the state government is a great decision. He appealed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to include the typewriting and shorthand skills in the university and to give priority to their field and added that a representation had also been submitted to the Chairman of the Skill University at the CMO. He noted that Youth from underprivileged and weaker sections of society choose such vocationally oriented courses in the hope of securing employment and added that this also benefits the government by providing it with a sufficient number of skilled candidates. He hoped that justice would be served to the unemployed candidates under the Congress government.
Those who participated in the press meet included Venkatesham, Shashidhar, Y. Rajeshwar, Balaraju, Ashok, Narasimha Rao, Vivek, Phani, Rameshwarachari, Tirupati Reddy, Vamsi, Radha Prasad, Satyavathi, Nagashree, unemployed candidates and others.
