With just 15 days to go for the annual 'Ratha Saptami - Surya Jayanthi festival', TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary reviewed arrangements for the mega religious event scheduled on January 25, at a meeting held at Padmavathi Rest House, Tirumala. TTD JEO Veerabrahmam, CVSO Murali Krishna and Tirumala Additional SP Ramakrishna participated in the review, focusing on security, crowd management, traffic regulation, parking and emergency preparedness.
At the meeting, the Additional EO directed the officials to ensure close coordination among all departments, prepare comprehensive bandobast plans and ensure smooth conduct of Vahana Sevas. Arrangements related to Annaprasadam, sanitation, medical services, Srivari Sevaks, illumination, SVBC coverage, and publicity were also reviewed.
The Additional Executive Officer also directed them to closely coordinate with Vigilance & Security and Police departments, assess the expected pilgrim influx in advance, and make suitable arrangements. Traffic regulation, parking management, emergency response teams, and vehicle movement on ghat roads were flagged as priority areas. Arrangements reviewed included Engineering, Annaprasadam, sanitation, Srivari Sevaks, medical services, illumination and LED screens, floral decorations, cultural troupes, SVBC coverage, publicity and social media outreach.
SSD tokens cancelled from January 24 to 26
According to officials, SSD tokens will not be issued from January 24 to 26. Arjitha Sevas, privilege darshans, and VIP Break Darshans (except protocol dignitaries) stand cancelled during the festival period.
