Two day event on disaster management launched at Stanley’s

The AICTE-sponsored two-day international conference on "Advanced Technologies for Disaster Management (ICATDM-2026) was launched on Saturday by the departments of ECE and EEE at Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women (Autonomous). Hyderabad. The Chief Guest was Professor A. Krishnaiah, Dean of the University College of Engineering, Osmania University and the Guest of Honor was Ashwani Kumar Sangamker, Chairman,IETE Hyderabad Center.

In their speeches, the dignitaries stressed the growing importance of cutting- edge technology in disaster prediction, preparedness, mitigation, and recovery. including artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing, communication systems, robots, and data analytics. They emphasized the value of interdisciplinary approaches, cooperative research, and innovation in creating communities that are resilient to disasters and sustainable.

233 research papers were received at the event, the General Chair announced during his speech. He added that 81 institutions actively attended the conference, demonstrating the academic and research community's increasing interest in and dedication to cutting- edge technology for sustainable development and catastrophe management.
