The University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, has granted autonomous status to SSR Degree College from the academic year of 2025-26. This recognition marks a key milestone in the college's journey towards educational excellence, creativity, and holistic educational development.

With this status, the college will have the freedom to design its own curriculum, introduce new courses, train students to reflect modern educational needs and industry requirements, and conduct its own college examinations and evaluation systems.

Speaking on the occasion, College Chairman Dr. M Maraiah Goud said, ‘The autonomous status is not only a mark of respect for our continuous efforts of the last 33 years, but also indicates a responsibility for the future.’

‘We will utilize this opportunity to develop better skills and knowledge among students,’ he said proudly. This status was awarded based on the college's consistent academic performance, high NAAC rating, and proven track record in administration and faculty development.
