The ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad, under the aegis of Saksham – The Social Responsibility Club and GAIA – The Environmental Club, successfully held the Valedictory Ceremony of the Model Conference of Parties (Model COP) 2025 at the IFHE campus. The three-day event provided a dynamic platform for students to deliberate on global environmental challenges, policy frameworks, and sustainable solutions through simulation-based discussions.
Delivering the valedictory address, Professor K Purushottam Reddy, renowned environmentalist and academician, underscored the crucial role of youth in shaping policies for a sustainable future. Prof. Ravi Shekhar Raju, Director of ICFAI Law School, commended the dedication of student organizers and participants for making the initiative impactful.
Dr. Arun Kumar, Assistant Dean, Student Activities, emphasized that meaningful change begins with students and reaffirmed ICFAI’s commitment to environmental protection and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Setty Rudai Tej presented the event report, while Akakshatha Joshi, Secretary-General, reflected on the conference’s success. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by D V N Murty. Awards were presented to outstanding delegates, with Sri Lanka named Best Delegate and the USA as Outstanding Delegate (Runner-Up 1), among other commendations.
