Superstar Mahesh Babu will headline the grand cinematic spectacle Varanasi, directed by ace filmmaker S S Rajamouli. Produced by K L Narayana and S S Karthikeya under Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business, the film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in key roles. The ‘GlobeTrotter’ event marked the release of the title, first-look poster, and teaser, creating waves across India and internationally.

Mahesh Babu expressed, ‘Varanasi is my dream project. Opportunities like this come only once in a lifetime. My father always wished I could play mythological roles, and with this film, that wish is finally fulfilled. I hope to make everyone proud, especially my director. Your love and support mean everything.’

Director S S Rajamouli added, ‘Seeing Mahesh in Lord Rama’s look gave me goosebumps. We’ve completed 60 days of shooting, and this will be one of my most memorable films. Mahesh’s dedication on set is unparalleled.’

Prithviraj described his experience as ‘stunning,’ while Priyanka Chopra praised the team’s warmth. Writer Vijayendra Prasad and composer M M Keeravani lauded Mahesh Babu’s performance and the film’s musical promise, highlighting that Varanasi will be a cinematic event unlike any other.
