Vijaya Medical Center expands Healthcare reach in Telangana

Strengthening the healthcare accessibility across Telangana, not just in Hyderabad but also the small towns, Vijaya Medical Center, Telangana’s newest healthcare landmark, officially announced the launch of 10 Pathology Laboratories and 25 Customer Care Centers across the state, marking a major step towards improving early diagnosis and patient support, particularly in small towns and rural areas. 

This announcement was made during a press conference held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Taj Vivanta, Begumpet, Hyderabad, highlighting the Vijaya Medical Center’s efforts and commitment to an affordable, accessible, reliable and technology driven diagnostic services for the people of Telangana. The event was graced by Shri Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, as the Chief Guest, emphasizing the growing importance of quality diagnostic infrastructure in the state’s healthcare ecosystem. In addition, the presence of Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy, Founder and Co-Chairman, Maxivision Super Specialty Eye Hospital, as Guest of Honor, and Dr. GSK Velu, Chairman and Managing Director, Neuberg Diagnostics, both prominent leaders in India’s healthcare sector adding a vision.  

Vijaya Medical Center, a unit of Neuberg Diagnostics, with a 40-year legacy and over 18 laboratories in Visakhapatnam, now marks its expansion into Telangana with this initiative. 

The event commenced with Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy welcoming the dignitaries, media, and attendees and thanking all the chief guests. He specially acknowledged Dr. Suryanarayana, Director of Vijaya Medical Center, recalling his association with Vijaya Medical Center in Visakhapatnam and appreciating the institution’s growth, emphasizing the ability that bought up this initiation. “I’ve seen your ability and the way you brought up Vijaya Medical Center and I’m very happy to be part of this providing service to the people,” he added extending the support from Media.  

Following this, Dr. Suryanarayana, Director, Vijaya Medical Center, provided a detailed overview of the initiation and the vision behind this expansion. Addressing Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Dr. GSK Velu, and Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy, he also shared the reflections on his long-standing admiration for Bhatti Vikramarka’s political career since his childhood highlighting the services provided. 

He explained that Vijaya Medical Center was initially started in Visakhapatnam by himself and four classmates but could not be expanded to Hyderabad earlier due to manpower limitations and operational challenges. This necessity for diagnostics scale led to the partnership with Neuberg Diagnostics in Visakhapatnam and now the expansion.  

Announcing about the new centers which would be operational from January 1, Dr. Suryanarayana stated that the focus is to extend beyond Hyderabad to rural Telangana, noting, “We came from villages too, and we are keen on expanding services to rural areas.” 

Addressing the gathering, Dr. GSK Velu elaborated on Neuberg Diagnostics’ growth and the strategic importance of the partnership. He added that the partnership with Vijaya Medical Center enables Neuberg to directly serve consumers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He also noted that while Vijaya Medical Center has a 40-year legacy, Neuberg is less than eight years old but has successfully brought together leading diagnostic groups together and has 250 labs and close to 2,500 collection centers now in India and International. 

Emphasizing that the aim of the newly launched labs and centers is to bring high-end diagnostics to both urban Hyderabad and smaller towns of Telangana, he added that Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy has been a mentor, philosopher, and guide. 

In his address, Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu appreciated the initiative, stating that diagnostic centers play a critical role in healthcare delivery. “If a diagnosis goes right, there are no headlines but if it fails, everything collapses,” he asserted, stressing the importance of credibility and integrity in diagnostics. 

He applauded the expansion into rural areas and assured government support for future medical camps and expansions. 

A video presentation showcasing the 10 pathology labs and 25 customer care centers followed, after which the facilities were formally unveiled by Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Dr. GSK Velu, Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy, and Dr. Suryanarayana. The event concluded with the chief guests presenting a memento to the Deputy Chief Minister, marking a significant milestone in Telangana’s healthcare journey.
