The Telangana Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has reiterated Congress government’s opposition to the Banakacherla Project, emphasizing that the state government will not accept it under any circumstances. In an informal interaction with media on Tuesday, Uttam stated that all possible efforts have been made to oppose the project, and further actions will be taken in the coming days.

Uttam Kumar Reddy has assured that the government will take all necessary steps to safeguard the state's interests. He added that the Telangana government had already raised objections with Union Minister C.R.
