Workers need not go to Delhi to seek party tickets. Your ticket will reach your home-Revanth Reddy Chief Minister
At the Samajika Nyaya Samarabheri Sabha held at LB Stadium on Friday, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy delivered a high-octane address declaring the Congress party’s firm resolve to return to power in Telangana in the 2029 elections with at least 100 Assembly seats. He revealed that the delimitation of constituencies would increase the number of seats from 119 to 153, creating greater opportunity for representation, especially for women, as women’s reservation will ensure 60 female MLAs in the coming years.
The Chief Minister assured party workers that they would receive 100% justice in the distribution of tickets and promised to take full responsibility to ensure the victory of all Congress candidates in the upcoming local body elections, referring to them as a battle to be fought and won by the workers themselves. He urged party cadres to be the Congress party’s brand ambassadors and announced that workers need not go to Delhi to seek party tickets — “Your ticket will reach your home,” he declared.
Revanth Reddy underscored the government’s achievements during the last 18 months, countering earlier criticism that his administration would not last or deliver on promises. He pointed to the successful implementation of farm loan waivers, Rythu Bharosa, free rice distribution, and infrastructure for education and health as proof that the Congress model of governance is now a national example. He also highlighted the completion of caste census and the implementation of social justice programs that had once been dismissed as impossible.
AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, addressing the gathering, said Telangana will become a model for the nation under Congress leadership. He asserted that just as the party returned to power in Telangana against all odds, it will also form the government at the Centre. He slammed the BJP government for making hollow promises about Pakistan and questioned why they hadn’t acted if they were serious. Comparing Prime Minister Modi with Indira Gandhi, Kharge said unlike Modi, Indira Gandhi had the courage to act, citing her role in Bangladesh's liberation.
Kharge accused the BJP of trying to undermine the Constitution by removing secular principles. He called on Congress cadres to take the “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan” message to every home,
emphasizing that protecting the Constitution is essential for the future of the country. He also reminded the crowd that during Congress rule, Hyderabad received more than 25 government institutions, while the BJP has done little for the city. He stressed that Congress seeks votes based on development and welfare, not lies and divisive politics.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu in his speech highlighted that the Congress is leading an ideological fight to preserve the Constitution, which the BJP is trying to amend. He elaborated on the government's performance, including Rs 9,000 crore disbursed to farmers under Rythu Bharosa, loan waivers, free 24x7 power for farmers, Rs 500 paddy bonus, free LPG cylinders, and Gruha Jyothi and Cheyutha schemes. He emphasized that governance in Telangana is now rooted in social justice, and the Congress is working to make 1 crore women into millionaires through SHGs and interest-free loans.
Bhatti stated that the Praja Government has delivered transformational results in just 18 months, and opposition parties are unable to digest this progress. He called upon the cadres to counter misinformation and take the government's achievements door-to-door in the true spirit of a people’s government.
TG Govt to expedite filling of Nominated Posts
The Telangana government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is accelerating the filling of vacant nominated posts across departments to strengthen the party’s grassroots before the local elections. This was announced after the TPCC Extended Executive meeting in Hyderabad on Friday, attended by AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior Congress leaders.
Kharge directed in-charge ministers to submit finalized candidate lists for the Chief Minister’s approval. Appointments will include Market Committees, Temple Trust Boards, District Library Committees, Urban Development Authorities, Waqf Boards, ATMA Committees, and State-level Corporations.
The goal is to position party-backed leaders in strategic roles ahead of elections, prioritizing loyal, effective workers with a focus on social justice and regional representation. District-wise recommendations will be prepared by in-charge ministers.
Kharge stressed discipline and unity, urging the TPCC to nominate committed leaders and avoid irresponsible statements. He also advised the Chief Minister to withdraw politically motivated cases against Congress leaders from the previous regime, possibly calling a special cabinet meeting for decisions.

Organized under the leadership of TPCC President MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, the event drew over 50,000 grassroots workers, transforming the venue into a vibrant sea of party flags and enthusiasm.
Congress charts roadmap for 2029
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy highlighted the state's rise as a model for the nation, praising Congress leadership for pushing the Union Government to consider caste-based census and noting progress in education, employment, and welfare. He proudly stated that over 45 lakh memberships were enrolled during his tenure as TPCC President.
Revanth Reddy, with TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, addressed the extended TPCC meeting at Gandhi Bhavan, reviewing organizational strength, welfare achievements, and future plans.
He urged new party functionaries to take their roles seriously, emphasizing that upcoming delimitation, women's reservations, and possible simultaneous elections will reshape politics, making 2029 a launchpad for new leadership. He called for grassroots engagement to ensure government schemes reach villages, confident Congress will retain power in Telangana for the next decade.
Goud expressed gratitude to AICC leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Kharge, and Venugopal for appointing him as TPCC chief, reaffirming Congress’s commitment to social justice through inclusive leadership.
