Minister for Revenue, Housing, Information and Public Relations Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has emphasised that district collectors must align their efforts with the vision and objectives of the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He said the decisions should be made from a humane perspective so that they benefit the people.
Recently appointed district collectors from Jogulamba Gadwala, Karimnagar, Rajanna Siricilla, Vikarabad, Medak, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanumakonda, and other regions paid a courtesy visit to Minister Srinivas Reddy at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the Minister acknowledged that over the past two years, the people's government has initiated numerous welfare schemes and development programmes aimed at assisting the underprivileged. It is incumbent upon the collectors to ensure that these initiatives reach every individual in need.
Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy reiterated that district collectors bear a significant responsibility in harmonizing welfare and development efforts and advancing these initiatives.
He urged the collectors to address both the needs of the citizens and the priorities established by the government. The Minister remarked that serving as a district collector represents a pivotal opportunity in the careers of IAS officers.
He urged them to maintain a strong connection with the people and to approach decision-making from a humanistic perspective to maximize benefits for the people.
