The Andhra Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that 90 per cent of the diseases are preventable with proper care and can be prevented. He was speaking at the inauguration of KIMS Sikhara Hospital in Guntur on Wednesday.
He further added that the state government is is promoting natural farming and environmental sustainability initiatives. He emphasized that past governance failures had severely impacted the state’s healthcare sector, necessitating urgent reforms and investments. One of the major initiatives includes the construction of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Mangalagiri at a cost of Rs. 1,618 crore.
CM Naidu highlighted KIMS founder Dr. Bollineni Bhaskar Rao’s remarkable contributions, expanding the institution to 5,000 hospital beds over 25 years and securing a market share of Rs. 25,000 crore. The Chief Minister lauded KIMS for its discipline, medical excellence, and investment in cutting-edge technologies like robotic knee replacement systems and advanced radiation-free medical treatments.
