In a significant boost for job seekers, the Andhra Pradesh government is most likely to release a Mega DSC (District Selection Committee) notification in March for the recruitment of 16,247 teacher posts. The department aims to complete the recruitment process by June, ensuring a streamlined and efficient hiring process. Officials have also indicated that an alternative to Government Order (GO) 117 will be introduced soon.

Kona Sasidhar, Secretary of the School Education Department, emphasized key reforms in the sector. Previously, teachers had to manage 45 different mobile applications, which have now been integrated into a single app for ease of use. Additionally, he revealed that a Teacher Transfers Act is in the works, with a proposal already submitted to the government. The bill is expected to be tabled in the upcoming Assembly session.

Addressing higher education reforms, Kona Sasidhar stated that a unified law will be implemented across all universities in the state once the Vice-Chancellor (VC) appointments are finalized. This initiative aims to standardize university administration and governance. The School Education Department is meticulously planning the Mega DSC notification to avoid legal complications and ensure a smooth recruitment process.
