A road safety drive aimed at ensuring smooth travel for city citizens without traffic jams is underway across Greater Hyderabad. As part of road safety measures, pothole filling works, catch pit repairs, road repair works, patch work works, cover replacements, and central median repairs are continuing continuously. GHMC Maintenance Chief Engineer Sahadev Ratnakar is monitoring the drive at the field level as per the instructions of Commissioner R. V. Karnan.
As of November 28, a total of 22,797 potholes have been identified in the city. Of these, 21,511 have been repaired. So far, 1,019 catch pit repairs, 494 cover replacements, and 13 central median repairs have been completed.
A total of 21,511 potholes were filled, including 3,828 in the L.B. Nagar zone, 2,885 in the Charminar zone, 3,785 in the Khairatabad zone, 2,656 in the Serilingampalli zone, 3,217 in the Kukatpally zone, and 5,140 in the Secunderabad zone.
