Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar, also serving as Additional District Magistrate (Executive), conducted a special court at the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate on Saturday targeting illegal activities of 10 rival gangs linked to rowdy sheeters and notorious criminals, including factions associated with Deendar Anjuman in Asifnagar.

The initiative aimed to maintain peace and ensure law-abiding behavior across the South, South East, and South West Zones of the city. Detailed reports presented to the court documented multiple violent incidents, including murders and attempted murders, resulting from ongoing gang rivalries.

Following proceedings, 86 members of the rival gangs were bound over under Section 126 of the BNSS Act, 2023, with directives to maintain peace for one year. All respondents signed security bonds, with violations subject to forfeiture of the bond and further legal action.
