Agri dept takes crucial step, launches centralized digital management app

Agriculture department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday took another crucial step forward. AgILE (Agriculture Input License Engine) app was launched by Special Chief Secretary (Agriculture), Budithi Rajasekhar at the secretariat. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that it is a centralized digital input management system to be followed by all stakeholders of licensed businesses like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc. Director of Agriculture S. Dilli Rao said that AGILE is a new generation licensing management system which will work as a paperless, transparent and standardized system.

AGILE highlights include real time monitoring dashboard for officials to observe licensing status, analytics for oversight and review of schemes, surveillance on input distribution, coordination between manufacturers, dealers and retailers, aadhaar based authentication, SMS/email information, DigiLocker, GIS mapping to dealer network, online application and license status facility for farmers dealers and organizations.

Top officials of allied departments like Horticulture and also Vice Chancellors of Horticulture and Agriculture Universities participated in this event. First digital license was given to a dealership run by female M/s Sri Adhya Agro Chemicals from Palnadu District which represents multiple districts.
