The five days 72nd All India Railway Badminton (Men & Women) Championship 2025-26 organized by Sports Association, South Central Railway at Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad concluded on Sunday the 24th August. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway was the chief guest for ceremonial function and distributed the prizes. Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR and other senior railway officials were also present.

A total of 19 teams from Men’s and 12 teams from Women’s category participated in various events.  The matches were played in knockout rounds. Men’s Team Championship was won by South Eastern Railway with  North Eastern Railway being the runners-up and Northern Railway coming third. Women’s Team Championship was won by West Central Railway with North Eastern Railway being runners-up and North Western Railway coming third. In the veteran’s category winners were Sanjeet Prathan & Yogesh from Central Railway and runners-up were Lalit Kumar & Praveen Kumar from Railway Board.

While addressing the players, General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, stated that sports events like badminton tournament will boost the morale of the staff and improves the commitment towards serving organization.
