Former minister and BRS MLA T Harish Rao termed the two dengue fatalities reported in Timmapur village of Jagadevpur mandal in Siddipet district, as “murders by the State government.” The individuals who passed away were Kontham Mahesh, aged 34, and Nayani Shiva Kumar, aged 16, both of whom succumbed after several days of hospitalisation.

Following his visit to the victims' families on Sunday, Harish Rao expressed that lapses in village sanitation contributed to the outbreak of diseases. He noted that at least 60 residents from the small community had tested positive for dengue and had been hospitalised in various facilities. Many had to turn to private hospitals for treatment, resulting in significant financial strain on their families due to high medical costs, he said.

Pointing to Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy’s criticisms of the Chief Minister, the BRS leader remarked that Revanth Reddy had demonstrated a lack of effectiveness in governance, aside from attacking opposition members.

Harish Rao remembered that the previous BRS administration, led by K Chandrashekhar Rao, allocated ₹300 crore each month to the panchayats, whereas the current government has not released any funds, leading to a standstill in both administration and sanitation efforts.

He also criticised the government's intelligence system for not notifying them about the worsening conditions in rural areas.

Regarding the fertilizer shortage, Siddipet  MLA Harish Rao mentioned that farmers have been lining up from dawn but still haven't received their fair share. He pointed out that while the BRS was in power, they ensured that 26,000 metric tonnes of urea were delivered to the Gajwel rake point, but the Congress government has yet to provide even 3,000 metric tonnes.
