Metro India News | Hyderabad :
The media point or if one could term it as the sounding board was packed with activity as leaders from the opposition parties made a bee-line to the spot on the fourth day of the Telangana Assembly session to vent their feelings. MLA Payal Shankar criticizes Congress government questioned the way the government was functioning by not discussing major issues in the Assembly.
Shankar stated that the behavior of Congress leaders is making people regret voting for them. He questioned who would maintain law and order if the Chief Minister besieged Raj Bhavan. He accused the government of avoiding answers to opposition questions and using excuses to cover up their mistakes. Shankar also questioned who would save the state if the government continued to act in this manner.
BJP leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy questioned whether the Chief Minister's decision to personally lead a protest at Raj Bhavan is a violation of the constitution. He pointed out that typically, the Congress Legislative Party leader would lead such protests, but the CM's involvement is unprecedented.
Reddy accused the CM of colluding with Adani to secure ₹100 crores, which was later returned after a meeting with Rahul Gandhi. He claimed that the only reason for Revanth's protest is Rahul's refusal to grant him an appointment.
Reddy alleged that the CM has made every effort to protect his position, even at the cost of Telangana's self-respect, which he has mortgaged to Delhi and Rahul Gandhi. He questioned whether Revanth Reddy or Rahul Gandhi is the real Chief Minister of Telangana.
Reddy criticized the Congress for repeatedly losing elections and now targeting Prime Minister Modi, who has won three consecutive terms. He accused the Congress of staging protests based on reports from foreign companies and following the directives of Sonia Gandhi, who he described as a foreigner.
Reddy demanded an explanation from the Congress about their relationship with Adani and why they took Rs 100 crores only to return it later. He insisted that the public deserves to know the truth.
Former Minister Harish Rao criticized Revanth Reddy, accusing him of performing circus acts on the streets. He claimed that Revanth Reddy is friendly with Adani in Delhi while wrestling in the streets.
Speaking at the Media Point in the Assembly, Rao announced plans to protest against the alleged illicit relationship between Revanth Reddy and Adani. He accused Revanth Reddy of being afraid to speak about Adani and claimed that Revanth Reddy signed an agreement worth ₹12,400 crores with Adani in Davos.
He demanded that if there is no friendship with Adani, all agreements with Adani should be canceled, including the return of ₹12,400 crores, just as ₹100 crores were returned. He also called for the cancellation of the cement factory in Ramannapet if there is genuine intent.
Rao also urged for a discussion in the Assembly on the alleged illicit relationship between Adani and Revanth Reddy. He criticized Revanth Reddy for talking about KCR and BRS instead of Adani near Raj Bhavan and accused the CM of causing a traffic jam during the protest.
