Industrialist and Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has lauded Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his enduring commitment to development and technological governance. In a post that quickly gained national attention, Mahindra wrote that he has admired Chandrababu Naidu’s passion for progress for decades, describing him as an unstoppable force.

Mahindra’s remarks sparked a wave of responses online, with several users highlighting Naidu’s long-standing reputation as a tech-driven administrator. One such reaction came from legal expert Amit Datta, whose post went viral for underscoring Naidu’s pioneering use of technology in government operations.

Datta noted that Naidu was the first Chief Minister in India to institutionalise routine video-conferencing with district collectors and field officials. At a time when video-conference facilities were limited and required special centres, Naidu used the tool extensively for real-time reviews, quick decision-making and stringent follow-ups. Datta argued that Naidu’s leadership often appeared a decade ahead of his counterparts.

Mahindra’s appreciation came after Naidu announced at the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam that Andhra Pradesh will soon introduce an escrow-based incentive disbursement system, allowing industries to receive government incentives directly without bureaucratic delays. Calling the model visionary, Mahindra shared a clip of Naidu’s speech on X, noting the state’s success in attracting USD 20 billion in investments in the last 18 months, with ambitions to secure USD 1 trillion over the next three years.

Responding to Mahindra’s post, Naidu thanked the business leader and said he looks forward to welcoming him warmly to Andhra Pradesh soon.
