In a significant move to empower the state's unemployed youth through skill development, the Andhra Pradesh government has entered into a strategic partnership with UNICEF. The agreement, signed in the presence of State Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh at his residence in Undavalli, aims to enhance youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.

As part of the collaboration, the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and UNICEF will jointly implement three flagship youth-centric initiatives: Youth for Social Impact (YFSI), Youth Hub, and Passport to Earning (P2E).

The Youth for Social Impact (YFSI) initiative will target two lakh students pursuing polytechnic, degree, and engineering courses, equipping them with entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills. Training will be provided under UNICEF's global UPSHIFT framework, focusing on innovation, inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods.

The Youth Hub will act as a multilingual digital platform integrated with the Andhra Pradesh Skill Portal, offering youth opportunities in employment, skill development, and volunteerism.

Under the Passport to Earning (P2E) program, youth between the ages of 15 and 29 will receive free international-standard training in digital and professional skills, thereby enhancing their global employability.
