The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly’s budget session schedule has been finalised, with the proceedings set to be held from February 11 to March 12. The month-long session is expected to witness extensive discussions on financial priorities and key policy matters of the state government. The state budget for the 2026-27 financial year will be presented on February 14. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav is scheduled to table the main budget in the Assembly, while Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu will present the agriculture budget on the same day.
The session will begin on February 11 with Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer addressing a joint sitting of both Houses of the Legislature. Following the address, discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s speech will commence. On the same day, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will be held under the leadership of Assembly Speaker Ayyannapatrudu to finalise the agenda and duration of legislative business. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is expected to speak on the motion of thanks on February 13.
Sources said the government intends to utilise the session not only for budget-related discussions but also for the passage of several key bills. In view of this, senior officials across departments have reportedly been alerted to remain prepared for legislative proceedings and policy deliberations during the session.
