In a major push towards achieving its ambitious Aarogyandhra Pradesh 2047 vision, the Andhra Pradesh government has constituted a high-level advisory group comprising ten internationally renowned public health experts. The committee will design a comprehensive action plan and monitor the state’s multipronged strategies to build a robust, equitable and technology-driven healthcare ecosystem.

The proposal, submitted by Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, received the approval of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday following extensive consultations. The newly formed High-Level Expert Advisory Group will integrate global best practices, strategic experience and cutting-edge technological frameworks to expedite Andhra Pradesh’s transformation into a health-forward state. The panel has been assigned to develop a comprehensive plan aligned with the Swarnandhra Vision 2047 to ensure complete health and well-being for the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Furthermore, the panel shall recommend scalable, innovation-driven interventions for maternal and child health, and non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention, to reduce disease burden significantly, and suggest technology-based mechanisms for effective coordination among various state and central health schemes. Similarly, they shall guide Andhra Pradesh in establishing itself as a National and Global Health Hub, leveraging world-class expertise, advanced medical infrastructure and research partnerships.

The expert panel will convene its first formal meeting in mid-December under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naidu. The inaugural session will include extensive deliberations on long-term targets, immediate priorities, strategic integration of partner institutions and frameworks for measurable outcomes. The committee will meet at least twice a year, with provisions for additional sessions as needed. The panel brings together distinguished leaders from global health, medical innovation, epidemiology and public health strategy.
