Telangana is gearing up to present its ambitious future vision at the prestigious Global Summit, scheduled to take place in Future City on December 8-9. The event will serve as a platform to showcase the state’s economic roadmap, Telangana Rising 2047, and highlight the achievements of the past two years under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s leadership.
Following the Chief Minister’s inspection of the summit venue on Sunday, officials have intensified preparations to ensure the state makes a compelling impression on the global stage. Telangana, India’s youngest state, has rapidly emerged as a leader in governance, innovation, and inclusive development since its formation in 2014.
The Telangana Rising 2047 vision sets a bold target: transforming the state into a $3 trillion economy, contributing 10% of India’s GDP, while adhering to sustainable development principles. At its core, the vision places citizens at the center of growth, aiming to create a rich and equitable Telangana for all.
To ensure the plan reflects ground realities, the government conducted an extensive citizen engagement exercise across urban, semi-urban, and rural communities. The vision document is structured around eight thematic chapters and three foundational enablers: technology and innovation, efficient financing, and good governance.
Key elements of the roadmap include strategic sectoral growth, investment in advanced technologies such as AI, quantum computing, cybersecurity, and aerospace, as well as strengthening startups, MSMEs, tourism, and media and entertainment. A three-tier spatial development model will guide growth across urban cores, peri-urban hubs, and rural areas, promoting equitable and sustainable regional development.
The plan also emphasizes human development. Initiatives will focus on healthcare, nutrition, and education, expanding primary care, digital health infrastructure, and technology-enabled last-mile services. Special attention will be given to geriatric care and universal healthcare access.
Empowering stakeholders is another cornerstone. Telangana aims to enable 1 crore women millionaires, equip youth with future-ready skills, and double farmers’ incomes through crop diversification, agri-tech, and market access improvements. Sustainability remains central. The state plans to achieve net-zero emissions by investing in renewable energy, green infrastructure, and circular economy practices, ensuring climate-smart growth.
By integrating visionary economic planning, human development, and environmental stewardship, Telangana Rising 2047 positions the state as a global destination for investment, innovation, and inclusive growth. The upcoming Global Summit will offer the world a first look at Telangana’s roadmap for prosperity and its ambitious leap toward 2047.
