Applications invited for training in fisheries dept

Eluru District Fisheries Officer K.S.V. Nagalingacharya said in a statement on Wednesday that the candidates who wish to avail training in the 135th batch at the Inland Fisheries Training Centre, Badampudi, Eluru District, should send their applications to the Assistant Director of Fisheries, Badampudi, Unguturu Mandal, Eluru district by 19th February, 2025.

Those who have studied 5th class and above will be given priority and those who know how to read and write in Telugu will be given a chance. Those in the age group of 18 years to 30 years are eligible. Eligibility Criteria . The Selection Committee may relax the age limit in special consideration. The applicants are to send their certificates of experience obtained from the fisheries department authorities not below the rank of assistant observers along with the application.

For those in the coastal district of Andhra Pradesh, fishermen, youth, fishermen, members of cooperative societies, others interested in fisheries, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes are eligible for this training. Without a scholarship, 20 seats are available.

The interviews will be held at 11.00 am on 20.02.2025 at the office of the Assistant Director of Fisheries, Badampudi. The names of those selected in the interview will be put up on the office notice board at 4.00 pm on the same day.

The selected candidates will be conducted from 01.03.2025 to 31.05.2025. During the training period, a course on fisheries in fishing fields and reservoirs will be taught with teaching and practical. Post-training examinations will be conducted and certificates will be given to the students who pass.

The candidate should send the applications in their own handwriting or type the biodata to reach the office by 19.02.2025. The said application form will be available at the office of the concerned District Fisheries Officer, Eluru or Assistant Director of Fisheries, Badampudi. Candidates appearing for the interview must bring their original certificates.
