Amaravati is undergoing a significant transformation under the new National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, with a focus on revitalizing infrastructure and education. At the center of this change is Nidamarru, a village in Mangalagiri mandal, where the Andhra Pradesh government has selected the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) to become the state’s first model school built to international standards.
With an investment of Rs.15 crore, the development of the school is moving swiftly, overseen personally by State Minister and Mangalagiri MLA Nara Lokesh. The project aims to provide rural students access to facilities comparable to global standards, serving as a benchmark for future educational infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh.
The school’s transformation includes the construction of modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, a fully equipped playground, and new academic blocks with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The Agastya Foundation, an NGO focused on science education, has partnered with the government to establish a dedicated science lab and a science park on the campus.
This initiative reflects the broader vision of the NDA government to reform the public education system and revive development in the Amaravati capital region, which had seen stagnation in recent years.
