The Telangana State Police Department has launched its prestigious road safety initiative, the “Arrive Alive” campaign, in Cyberabad today. The campaign is being conducted across all law and order and traffic police jurisdictions under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. It aims to raise awareness about traffic rules and reduce road accidents across the state.
Scheduled to run from January 13 to 24, the initiative focuses on educating citizens about safe driving practices and preventing accidents caused primarily by human error. At an event held at Mindspace, Madhapur, Madhapur Traffic Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sai Manohar emphasized the importance of reaching home safely, noting that the core purpose of “Arrive Alive” is to ensure families remain happy and secure.
DCP Sai Manohar highlighted that most road accidents occur due to speeding, drunk driving, wrong-side driving, and using mobile phones while driving. He warned that such practices often lead to severe consequences for families, including loss of life and property.
The DCP urged all vehicle owners to strictly adhere to traffic regulations, including wearing helmets and seat belts and following prescribed speed limits. He stressed that consistent compliance with these rules can significantly reduce the number of accidents and save countless lives.
