In a significant development, the Assam Chief Minister has accorded in-principle approval for the allocation of 25 acres of land to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in Guwahati, responding positively to the recommendation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

In a letter addressed to his Assam counterpart, the AP Chief Minister sought support for grounding various development activities on the land proposed to be allotted to TTD. Acting on the request, the Assam government not only agreed to allot land at Guwahati but also assured necessary financial support for undertaking development works at the proposed site.

Welcoming the decision, TTD Chairman  B.R. Naidu expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Ministers of both Andhra Pradesh and Assam for resolving the matter amicably. He assured that the TTD Trust Board will closely coordinate with the Assam government to complete all land-allocation formalities and initiate construction works at the earliest.

The proposed temple will be the first shrine dedicated to Sri Venkateswara Swamy in Northeast India, marking a historic spiritual milestone for devotees in the region.
