ATGC Biotech Private Limited has been awarded the prestigious Innovation Leadership Award 2025 during the 16th Agriculture Leadership Conclave, hosted by Agriculture Today in New Delhi.
The award was presented by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, in recognition of ATGC’s pioneering contributions to sustainable pest management through advanced pheromone technologies.
Selected by the National Awards Committee, chaired by former Chief Justice of India, Justice P. Sathasivam, the award acknowledges ATGC’s transformative work in IP-led, BioE3-aligned bio-manufacturing. ATGC’s innovations focus on ultra-low-dose, waterless, and residue-free crop protection - powered by synthetic biology and materials science.
With a robust portfolio of 26 patents and over 50 commercially available products, ATGC is playing a critical role in positioning India as a global leader in climate-resilient biotechnology. Backed by strategic R&D support from BIRAC and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), ATGC is accelerating the shift from volume-based agrochemicals to precision, carbon-smart solutions.
Accepting the award, Dr. Markandeya Gorantla and Dr. V B Reddy stated, ‘This honor celebrates Indian deep-tech innovation. We are grateful to Agriculture Today, and to BIRAC, DBT, and DST for helping us scale from lab to global impact.’
