The Eluru District Police department is setting an example of good results in the use of technology. At present, while all sectors are looking at artificial intelligence-a knowledge that has already been acquired, this technology is being used at every step of the way in policing, including crime control and receipt of complaints, to resolve cases.

From the victim's complaint to the chargesheet in the court, everything is being policed by the AI in Eluru District. The AI system was introduced in the district for the first time in the state and now with the success of the trial run here, the government is now working on introducing the system in all police stations in the state.The system of receiving complaints from victims through AI chatbot has been introduced at the Public Grievance Redressal Platform at Eluru district SP's office.

Earlier, the police personnel used to ask several questions and get answers from the victim and prepare it in the form of a complaint. Now all this work is being done by AI chatbot. Complaints are being taken, questions are being asked and video recording is being done. The entire work is being done through AI to prepare all that information taken in the form of a complaint and give it to the police. The system is not just about receiving complaints from the victims but is also giving several instructions to the staff in resolving the cases.

" Someone has to go to the witness and enquire, asking questions similar to how the complaint was taken. Prepares the case diary. Similarly, the chargesheet will prepare the draft. The work to be done in a day will be completed in half an hour,' said Pratap Shiva Kishore, SP, Eluru district.
