Auto driver returns forgotten Rs 1.2 lakh cash

The Ramgopalpet Police acted swiftly and recovered a forgotten bag containing Rs 1.20 lakh cash within a short time, safely returning it to its owner during a medical emergency. According to police, Sai Kumar had arrived at KIMS Hospital on May 18 around 2 pm for his father’s surgery in an auto-rickshaw. In a state of anxiety, he accidentally left behind his bag in the vehicle. The bag contained Rs 1.20 lakh meant for hospital expenses.

After receiving the complaint, Ramgopalpet SHO B. Suresh Kumar immediately formed a special crime team comprising Head Constable G. Suresh, Constable S. Pramod Kumar and Constable B. Narsimha. The team carefully examined CCTV footage along the route, identified the auto-rickshaw registration number and traced the driver. Following police tracking, auto driver Venkataiah reached the police station and handed over the bag with the entire cash amount intact. Sai Kumar thanked the police for their quick response. The SHO also felicitated the auto driver with a shawl for his honesty and appreciated the crime team for their efficient work.
