Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure faster, transparent and technology-driven governance, stressing that all government files should be cleared within 24 hours to improve public service delivery.

Speaking on the second day of the 7th District Collectors’ Conference at the Amaravati Secretariat on Friday, the Chief Minister conducted an extensive review on e-file clearance, grievance redressal systems, digital governance and administrative efficiency. He said delays in file movement directly affect citizens and instructed ministers, collectors, secretaries and senior officials to give top priority to speedy disposal of files.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction that the average file clearance time in the state had reduced significantly from nearly 10 days to just two days over the past three months. He specially appreciated Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand Sai Prasad for clearing a large volume of files within an average of 10 hours. Ministers, collectors, SPs and departmental secretaries who demonstrated efficiency in file disposal were also commended during the meeting.

At the same time, Chandrababu advised underperforming officials to improve their response time and administrative efficiency. He directed that manual file systems should gradually be eliminated and that only e-files should be generated from mandal level offices to the state headquarters.
