As part of the ambitious Swarna Andhra Vision 2047, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced a comprehensive development roadmap for all constituencies in the state. During a special presentation in the Legislative Assembly on Monday, he revealed that vision documents have been prepared for four constituencies—Kuppam, Pithapuram, Mangalagiri, and Uravakonda—as a pilot project. The initiative will soon be expanded to all 175 constituencies across Andhra Pradesh.
To ensure the effective implementation of these plans, each constituency's development strategies will be overseen by the respective MLA, who will serve as the chairman of the implementation committee. Additionally, a district-level special officer will be appointed for each constituency to monitor progress.
CM Naidu emphasized that every individual in the state should be an active participant in this vision. He urged the legislators to take responsibility for attracting industries to their constituencies rather than driving them away, as had allegedly happened in the previous administration.
The Chief Minister outlined a multi-tiered strategy, focusing on agriculture, employment generation, industrial development, and service sector growth. The vision aligns with the central government’s Viksit Bharat 2047 mission, which aims to achieve a $30 trillion economy with a per capita income of $18,000. Andhra Pradesh has set its own ambitious targets to contribute to this national goal.
According to the Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh is currently on a growth trajectory, overcoming past economic and infrastructural challenges. He highlighted how Rayalaseema, once considered barren, is now transforming into a hub for horticulture, solar, wind, and pumped energy projects. Anantapur, previously known for drought conditions, is now among the top five districts in the state in terms of development.
By 2047, Andhra Pradesh aims to become a Rs.308 lakh crore economy, with a per capita income of Rs.55 lakh. The government is focusing on a meticulous planning strategy, covering every level of governance, to achieve these ambitious goals.
The Chief Minister announced that every family in rural areas will be provided with 3 cents of land, while urban families will receive 2 cents. Unlike the previous administration, which allocated housing plots far from towns, the current government will ensure that the land is strategically located to be useful for beneficiaries. The goal is to provide every family with a house by 2029.
Additionally, under the P4 initiative, 35 lakh underprivileged individuals will receive direct benefits. In the first phase, 20 lakh people will be included, followed by another 15 lakh in the second phase. Those who adopt families in need will receive government recognition and awards for their contributions.
To implement the vision effectively, a Vision Management Unit will be established at the state, district, and constituency levels. Each MLA will be responsible for executing the plans, supported by a special officer and a team of young professionals. A Constituency Vision Monitoring Unit will oversee progress, and key performance indicators (KPIs) will be used to evaluate and rank each constituency.
A digital dashboard will be created for real-time monitoring, with progress reviews conducted by the Chief Secretary every two months and by the Chief Minister every three months. Addressing concerns about the tri-language policy, CM Naidu urged citizens to view it as an opportunity rather than a controversy. He emphasized the importance of learning multiple languages for global competitiveness.
Telugu will remain the primary language, while Hindi, as the national language, and English, as an international medium, will be encouraged. He also highlighted the benefits of learning additional languages for employment opportunities abroad. CM Naidu’s Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 is aimed turning AP into an economic powerhouse.
