Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has made strong and controversial allegations against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of maintaining a covert understanding with BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao. He claimed that this alleged nexus is the primary reason behind the State government’s reluctance to aggressively pursue corruption cases against KTR.
During an informal media interaction at the BJP state headquarters, Sanjay asserted that the Congress and BRS are engaged in what he termed as “collusive politics.” According to him, the Chief Minister is selectively targeting former minister T. Harish Rao while deliberately avoiding serious allegations linked to KTR. He further alleged that Revanth Reddy is acting as a mediator to ease tensions between Kalvakuntla Kavitha and KTR, indicating a deeper political understanding.
Sanjay also questioned the limited scope of the proposed CBI inquiry into the Kaleshwaram project. He criticized the focus on alleged irregularities worth Rs. 9,000 crore at the Annaram, Sundilla, and Medigadda barrages, arguing that a full-scale investigation into the entire ₹1 lakh crore project would expose larger corruption. He suggested that the inquiry was being deliberately restricted out of fear of uncovering broader irregularities.
Highlighting other alleged cases such as the Formula E race issue, drugs case, and farmhouse controversy, Sanjay accused the Chief Minister of deliberately avoiding any mention of KTR’s involvement. He described KTR as a “colossal figure of corruption” and questioned why no decisive action had been taken so far.
Rejecting any possibility of an alliance with the BRS, Sanjay reiterated that the BJP remains firmly opposed to dynastic politics associated with K. Chandrashekar Rao’s family. He emphasized that the party’s goal has always been to eliminate corruption and dynastic rule.
On national politics, he expressed confidence in the BJP’s electoral prospects, predicting victories in several states and asserting that public sentiment strongly favors the party.
