Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay wrote a letter to TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesam seeking action on the petitions submitted by candidates alleging irregularities in the conduct of the examinations.
In the letter, he stated the Group-1 candidates had repeatedly brought to his attention that there had been many irregularities and mistakes in the conduct of the Group-1 Mains examinations, evaluation process and results and added that there had been a violation of rules. He said it was the responsibility of the TGSPSC to clear the doubts of the candidates and the doubts of the public. He requested the commission chairman to provide the information he sought within a week.
In that letter, he mainly mentioned the errors in the declaration of marks, violation of notification, evaluation of examination papers, and the top ranks of candidates, who wrote in Urdu medium. He asked the Chairman to send comprehensive information regarding these within a week. He asked the chairman to provide the complete list of marks, including names of all the 563 candidates selected on the UPSC pattern.
