Bandlaguda Police of Chandrayangutta division, South East Zone, Hyderabad, arrested a notorious house burglary offender, Mohammed Saleem (52), alias Sunil Shetty on Monday. Saleem, a resident of Ali Nagar, Balapur, had a history of nearly 150 burglary cases and was previously detained under the PD Act in 2018 and 2021.

The arrest followed a complaint by Shawanaz Mirza of Quba Colony regarding theft of gold ornaments and cash. During interrogation, Saleem confessed to three Bandlaguda burglaries and one in Balapur. Police recovered 10 tulas of gold and 10 tulas of silver ornaments, valued at approximately Rs 10 lakh. Saleem, who was released from judicial custody in August 2025, has been remanded to judicial custody, and investigations are ongoing.
